Clicking on the notification icon (gray or red number next to my name at the top) brings up the latest notifications, but only the very top of the popup is visible because the rest is hidden by the regular page elements. Saw it on mediawiki.org for both Firefox & chrome: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.33 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/27.0.1438.7 Safari/537.33 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:20.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/20.0
Update, it turns out I had MonoBook instead of Vector skins chosen. Notifications work fine in Vector.
Created attachment 11926 [details] Screenshot What's strange is that I hadn't seen the notifications red icon at all since a disabling option was provided some time ago. Today I temporarily switched to Vector and then back, and it appeared again, while I can't find the option any longer.
Thanks for filing this bug, Yuri.
Arg. I hate monobook's crazy z-indexing. Looks like #p-personal needs a higher index than #content (which really shouldn't even have an index, but that's another story).
Fixed in https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/56037. Waiting for review.
Merged in git by Ori (thanks!). There's a window today between 1 and 2pm Pacific (20:00-21:00 UTC) if that works for Kaldari to deploy the fix. Greg
