In a text area it is somewhat tolerable as it is in the bottom right where the cursor usually isn't located (and if it is, it is usually trivially to add some space or scoll to "fix" it).

However in the edit summary it is especially annoying as it will overlap every character being typed once the length has reached the width of the (single-line) input area.

I don't know what the icon is supposed to do, but it is very annoying when typing, please put it anywhere else or maybe even get rid of it entirely.
