At bug 2118 comment 18 the link
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Of_The_Wand_%26_The_Moon:
does not render properly.

From browser "View" > "Page Source":

Please note that ":" is *outside* <a ...></a>.

This seems fairly normal for URL detection; final punctuation is stripped since 99.9999% of 
the time it's not part of the URL. MediaWiki does the same.

Escape the character if you need it.
