Hallo!

The number of selectable languages for the user interface (see
[[Special:Preferences]]) seems to be generated from $wgLanguageNames in Names.php.

However there are several LanguageXx.php files without any translated MediaWiki
message.

*request*

a) Please expand $wgLanguageNames with the following additional information:
- a "selectable user interface language flag"
- alias of "foo"
- language variant of "bar"
- LTR / RTL property of user interface: values LTR, RTL
  actual list of RTL languages:
  ar:, arc:, dv:, fa:, he:, ks:, ps:, sd:, ug:, ur:, yi:
  beside these the following languages are using both LTR and RTL:
  ha:, ku:, lad:, pa:, tk:

b) The "selectable user interface language flag" should be enabeled only for
languages where the corresponding LanguageXx.php file contains translated
MediaWiki messages.

Bug 4016: BiDi: cosmetics about rendering for InterWiki links - fixes to targets
which do not match the content language orientation
is not the same enhancement request. Bug 4016 is about similar information in
the InterWiki table.

Special:Preferences shows only customised languages.
