Description Erik Moeller 2012-11-10 04:11:04 UTC
Interlanguage links like [[de:Dar es Salaam]] currently point to Wikipedia instead of Wikivoyage, breaking all existing interlanguage links.

Bumping important and switching to the Interwiki links component, which I believe to be the correct one, rather than site configuration as it's a matter of updating the file above and run it, right?

and aligned to that ... it is probably worth putting in place a shortcut for wikivoyage from other sites, a couple of stewards have already suggested g: or y:. We definitely think that wv: is going to be confusing.
Comment 4 Snowolf 2012-11-10 07:38:54 UTC
I personally favor wy but that's just my personal opinion.

This discussion should perhaps happen on another bug.
Anyway, the point of "short prefixes" is not shortening, but dynamic linking of the relevant language subdomain (the same language your wiki is in). voyage: is just as good, as well as vy, vg or whatever is not an ISO language code.
Comment 6 Erik Moeller 2012-11-10 12:59:57 UTC
The interlanguage link issue was resolved by syncing the interwiki DB.
