Hallo! Preliminary questions: - Is ENotif an extension? - Should ENotif be a component in MediaZilla? My user page and my user talk page have been deletd at http://wqoq.com/wiki/Special:Log/delete . In preferences I did activate "Email me when my user talk page is changed" before. No e-mail was send to me. regards reinhardt [[user:gangleri]]
Er, well from a pedantic point of view, they weren't "changed" insofar as a new revision wasn't created. Agree that this would be considered a "change" by a human though.
Generalizing to all log entries (deletion, move (which happens on user rename), protection, etc.). Duped bug 12465.

Mid-air collision! ---- ---- There are other events which should be handled similar: see bug 012465 renaming an user should trigger the Email notification for « E-mail me when my user talk page is changed » etc. not sure if blocking / unblocking should generate similar events; I assume it would be fair to notify the user. Please open a new bug / report if you think the same (or comment here at bug 004101)

Agree that this would be considered a "change" by a > human though. That's bug 14901, now bug 42457. The point of this bug is not the wording but the fact that an enotif should be sent for log actions on the user or on the user (talk)pages even if only "E-mail me when my user talk page is changed" is selected, without the enotifwatchlist preference enabled, because obviously they are not like any random watchlisted page (and we don't want to add another preference). Of course it makes more sense now that the enotif is less confusing, but I doubt this can work without bug 42457 giving MediaWiki a way to alter enotif behaviour depending on log action type? Or maybe the options given by bug 14901 are enough, I don't know.
