If $wgContentHandlerUseDB is disabled, the extra fields for content model and format in the page, revision and archive tables are not needed. The updater should be made to skip the respective patches if $wgContentHandlerUseDB is disabled, to avoid slow updates of large wikis. Updating the revision table of a large wiki can take many hours.
