We host Jenkins package at : http://apt.wikimedia.org/wikimedia/pool/universe/j/jenkins/jenkins_1.472_all.deb It is not available to Ubuntu Precise instances, only to Lucid ones. Can we make it available in Precise too please ?
related: bug 40414 to get php5-parsekit available under Precise Note that there is already a Jenkins package in Ubuntu, we want to use our package in priority since it is updated more frequently.

Where is this package coming from for lucid? Which version specifically do you need?
Jenkins is releasing a new version every week and Ubuntu only provide the LST which quickly become outdated. To upgrade our Jenkins, we grab the .deb from upstream which just provide the .war then push it on our apt mirror using reprepo (see doc at https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/view/Jenkins ). Jenkins is deployed on gallium, a lucid host. The labs instance is using Precise and thus need the same .deb to be pushed to Precise :) Anyway, the version should be 1.472 .
Aha, thanks a lot for the explanation and the pointer. This is now included in precise as well. I've also modified the wikitech page above to mention the copy command as to make sure that future versions find their way to precise too.
Thanks! ;]
