Created attachment 11067 [details] No thumbnails in UploadWizard (Wikimedia Commons) I am uploading some pictures using UploadWizzard on Wikimedia Commons. But as you can see on attached image there are no thumbnails. Thus I am unable nearly unable to follow with file descriptione etc. When I uploded files there was a message under each of them "file uploaded, unable to generait thumbnail".

User Aktron on #wikipedia-cs just commented that files from screenshot doesnt have file type (i.e. jpg). But I uploaded them to Google Drive also, where they have jpg file type. I can see them normally elsewhere like on my Windows Vista or Google Drive.
Please add a specific file that causes this problem to the ticket, so that people can investigate.

Confirming this. Users uploading via Upload Wizard aren't seeing thumbnails under two circumstances: - they're using a browser that doesn't support local thumb generation (e.g. IE) - they're uploading a batch that's larger than 10MB in total size (Upload Wizard then disables client-side thumb rendering to avoid massive disk churning) Interestingly, I am unable to replicate this locally or on a standalone labs instance, so this may be related to the cluster configuration (e.g. Swift/multi-write). Thank you guys! It was just painy bug, I saw no thumbnail even with one file uploading having less than 10MB. So maybe my FF 15.0.1
