Description lɛʁi לערי ריינהארט 2005-11-07 08:45:18 UTC
Sear friends,

there are more projects which get vandalised / spamed but nobody notice this.
Examples are such as titles like index.php.

It would be a good idea to decide if individual projects get ENotif activated
and users / sysops can configure their Enotif to receive notifications only for
activities of anonymous users.

At the moment these are only edits because move, delete, upload etc. is disabled
at WikiMedia projects in group rights.

Best regards Reinhardt [[user:gangleri]]

P.S. Please let me know if such configuration is already possible. I will then
open apropriet request as *Product: Wikimedia web sites* .

This is possible, but needs further efforts and further options i.a. in user
preferences.
For example, my EnotifWiki has the option to notify on any new page, see
http://www.enotifwiki.org

Thanks Tom! I know ENotif from WikiPage. It would be nice to have this *exact*
requirement - to be able to send ENotif *only* for these cases. This would
protect the wikis a much better way. Regards reinhardt [[user:gangleri]]

For me, it is very easy to implement, so I am going to include this as just
another option. Please can you add your feature request on
http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Email_notification_to-do_list . (There are
already some other interesting features, pls. check)
