Extend the current shared table synching mechanism to play along with a standard like pubsubhubbub.
We would like to work on implementing a MediaWiki extension providing support for PubSubHubbub. We are two students at the Hasso Plattner Institute in Potsdam, Germany. We're members of the project "Wikidata.lib", which is a part of our Bachelor's degree. Here's a link to a GitHub wiki page describing our progress: https://github.com/Wikidata-lib/Wikidata.lib/wiki/PubSubHubbub
Hi Sebastian, thanks for your interest in fixing this bug report! Do you have any questions, or is this "just" an announcement that you work on this? https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikidata-tech might also be a good place to discuss your approach.

Hello Andre, this is an announcement that we are working on implementing a PubSubHubbub extension for MediaWiki during a project with Wikimedia Germany as part of our Bachelor's degree. We'd like to get this ticket assigned so we can publish our progress here. Thanks, Andre.
Sorry, I meant to thank you. BR, Sebastian and Alexander.
Progress should probably go into gerrit.wikimedia.org though :)
This seems to be essentially re-inventing $wgRCFeeds (and related classes etc). Why?
