Would be great to have a very simple resource loader extension in mediawiki/extension/examples.git . We could then points newbies to that extension so they can easily learn how the resource loader and how they can use it in their own new extension.
Nice! We've got quite a few examples for different types of extensions already: https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/gitweb?p=mediawiki/extensions/examples.git;a=tree (parser function, special page, content action - and an empty example) There isn't really something as "a ResouceLoader extension" (like there are "SpecialPage extensions"), since RL is now part of the default structure of how an example should be. This would be great to have as part of the empty Example template extension. If we can keep them up to date this time, we might even start using it ourselves when we start a new extension. That would certainly be nice (stock templates!)
