Screenshot of it overlapping the sitenotice on a clean instal

It almost always overlaps something else (Sitenotice, navigation, search, ..) depending on the skin.

On a clean install with nothing else it works fine, but even then it looks very foreign in most skins because it doesn't position itself in the regular flow but forces itself in there based on a fixed position.

Either overlaps elements that are in the document flow before the article content (such as Sitenotice). Or overlaps other elements that use the same (bad) absolute positioning hack (such as the "Featured article" and "Coordinates" icons and the like that many wikis have installed).

Aside from the high probability to overlap extra elements. It is also always overlaps the real content there if there either is a lot of content (e.g. in Vector and Monobook if there is a long title/user name it will always overlap it), or if the window is narrow.

Assigning to Petr Bena. Petr, this and the other issue mentioned in bug 32128 (information display consistency among "John Doe is now <blib> offline" or "John Doe is now <blib> hidden" or "John Doe is now <blib> status is unknown") are blocking deployment. Thanks!
