Description jdk370 2012-04-02 21:09:02 UTC
so many sites use the extension including mediawiki, wikipedia, wikia, spyinginc... . the checkuser extension should just be added to core functionality

Closing this as WONTFIX. The fact that it's used in a lot of places, doesn't mean that the functionality should be part of core.

In case of this extension, we would be adding all kinds of user tracking features, supported by additional tables, etc, that serve no purpose in a lot of deployments, except for the largest ones.
