When ever I search for an article that doesn't exist let's say: A page that was not yet created at <http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special% 3ASearch&search=A+page+that+was+not+yet+created>. In the search results at the top left of the page it says "You searched for "A page that was not yet created" [Index]". The link for that page is blue in the top, even though there is no such page. This should be consistent with the rest of wikimedia where blank pages are red links and created articles are blue links.
Confirming. Here's a better link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Search?search=Fazzing
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Search?search=Fazzing displays "Fazzing" in red for me. (On the other hand, http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Search&search=A+page+that+was+not+yet+created gives me an error message, but I'm assuming it's temporary.)
Yes, it seems to have been fixed by someone in the past few months. I don't know who, but this bug is closed. Thanks to whoever squashed this bug :)
