It is not currently possible to produce ordered lists using the # style syntax from an index of 1., In the following : http://en.wikisource.org /wiki/Page:The_Cutter%27s_Practical_Guide_1898_Edition_Part_1.djvu/14 There are a number of lists which start from an index which is NOT 1. According to http://www.w3schools.com/html5/tag_ol.asp the ol tag (which is what I am assuming is being used to generate the lists), has the option to specify the starting index. MediaWiki doesn't seem to have a way of specifying the relevant param meaning that to do the appropriate formatting I have to format using RAW HTML, which is something of a hack, and might 'break stuff'. Much appreciated if the parser could be updated in a manner that allows for a list using # style syntax to specify an arbitary start index.
