Feedback link mockup for Option A

Develop Option A for our upcoming Feedback links test (option A, D or no link), as described in our feature requirements page:
http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Article_feedback/Version_5/Feature_Requirements#Feedback_links_on_article_pages

Option A will display this feedback link below the article title (after Wikipedia slogan):

"Improve this article X "

... as shown in this mockup:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/d6/AFT5-Feedback-Link-Option-A-12-28.png

Note that we will be adding a little "X" close button after the link, which should function in the same way as described in bug # bug 34403:
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=34403

(but note that the flyover 'Remove' panel should be below the Option A feedback link, not above, and the arrow should be pointing up, not down).

The bucketing for Metrics test 2 should be evenly divided between Options A, D and no link.
Comment 1 Fabrice Florin 2012-03-06 01:01:54 UTC
Note that this Feedback Link Option A will be measured against Option E (not Option D) and no link for the metrics test stage 2.

We have provided updated specifications for Option E on this Bugzilla ticket:
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=34403

Dario will add clicktracking requirements for this metrics test on this Option A ticket as well, as requested by Yoni.

We have provided updated specifications for Option E on this Bugzilla ticket:
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=34403

Dario will add clicktracking requirements for this metrics test on this Option A ticket as well, as requested by Yoni.

We will also remove Feedback Forms Option 2 and Option 3 from rotation, so that the metrics test is conducted for Option 1 only.

Comment 5 Reha Sterbin 2012-03-17 22:57:27 UTC
Added flyover in r114064. Dario, what clicktracking events do you want set up for the flyover?
Comment 6 Dario Taraborelli 2012-03-19 19:44:25 UTC

Comment 7 Reha Sterbin 2012-03-19 21:27:53 UTC
Added new clicktracking events in r114189
Comment 8 Fabrice Florin 2012-03-19 23:11:50 UTC
As discussed in our weekly meeting, we would like to modify the text link that is used for the Option A feedback to include a vertical '|' pipe divider character prior to the words 'Improve this post', as shown below:

"From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia | Improve this page"

The current implementation does not clearly divide the slogan on the left from the text link on the right.

Please use the same black font color for the '|' pipe as is used in the text on the left.
Comment 9 Reha Sterbin 2012-03-20 14:22:42 UTC
Added pipe divider in r114271.
