Description Amir E. Aharoni 2012-02-02 17:18:44 UTC
On Sony Xperia Neo, Android 2.3.4, with the Hebrew locale the menus in completely localized applications, such as the built-in browser, are oriented right-to-left for appropriate languages.

I found three types of menus to fix, in order of importance:

1. The entries in the settings menu appear on the left in the Wikipedia app and on the right in the browser. It's especially important to define their directionality, because it actually hurts readability.

2. The entries in the "more" menu (share, forward, select, settings) are aligned to the left in the Wikipedia app, but the entries in the corresponding menu in the browser are aligned to the right.

3. The whole six-button menu in the bottom of the screen - history, nearby, language, more, saved pages, save page - runs right-to-left. The "more" button is on the left in the phone's browser, but on the right in the Wikipedia app. It should be on the left, because it's supposed to be the last button if the order is right-to-left.

Number 1 is fixed in 1.1 beta.

This'll all be redone in the upcoming native app. Closing out for the PhoneGap app.
