Description Amir E. Aharoni 2012-01-22 15:46:46 UTC
An enhancement suggestion that arrived to mobile-feedback-l - hide the search bar, as it is done in browser. Seems reasonable to me.

Related: Bug 29869.

Now that we have our div implementation we could try the tap to dismiss search bar interface.

Does this mean hide the search bar in the app like the URL bar in the browser?

Yes.

Assuming the idea is tap to hide and tap to re-appear. Or use hardware search key, which still has focus problems.

If this re-opens the can of worms around focus on the search bar, let's not bother. Also, this might be made obsolete by new UI elements.
