I had to set default language each time i  open the app. and after the selection, the language name is not visible at the settings page. It always shows the text "Set your Wikipedia Language"

I have tested this app from my Samsung Galaxy pop (Android 2.3.6).

Sorry, this is just a static element in the Settings UI. However, once you change the language, it should stay that way. Please re-open this if you still have the problem.
