When clicking on an article flag on the map, the "preview" text box should be clickable to go the article. Instead, nothing happens, and sometimes the previous article appears, then several seconds later the article from the map appears.

Do you see the X show up at the top right? If so then its started to load the article but its not done yet. I think this is just a matter of surfacing to the user that were doing work and they need to wait a bit more.

Yeah, I think we mostly need to fix up the spinner vs the X stuff. Seems a bit inconsistent right now.
