Special:Log, when opened, gives the 50 most recent log entries. This is
generally not what people are looking for, and takes relatively long to load. It
would be easier to display no list at all but simply the pulldown and edit
boxes, allowing the editor to select which log he actually seeks.

It doesn't take very long at all, and is consistent with behavior of everything in
the wiki. Should you happen to go to that page for some reason, that's what you'll get.
