Steps to repro: * go into 'airplane mode' * open Wikipedia What happens; * see an error popup like "Application Error: The connection to the server was unsuccessful. (http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_House_of_Representatives)" * click "OK" to close alert * app exits Expected: * if last-seen page can't be loaded, show an error message inline * don't close the app -- let me retry at my leisure or browse my bookmarks
This also happens while browsing -- if I already had an article open, then go into airplane mode, then navigate to a new page, I see the same error followed by the app exiting. Then I'm stuck in the restart loop because it keeps trying to load the same unloadable page on restart.
Doesn't appear to die this way any more as of RC1. However, if started for the first time while offline, it's not able to load the main page and shows an ugly 'web page not available' screen. Acceptable or no?
