Description Brion Vibber 2011-10-31 01:54:45 UTC
A bunch of the icons for the PhoneGap app are done using CSS spriting.

These sprites are really hard to maintain by hand, especially since we're going to want to add native high-resolution icons at some point for 240dpi and 320dpi phones.
Comment 1 Brion Vibber 2011-11-18 23:53:52 UTC
They've been bumped to a higher resolution (meaning they get scaled *down* on lower-res devices) which does look nicer, but they're still sprited which makes them harder to maintain.

Brion, which icons are you referring to?
Comment 3 Yuvi Panda 2012-02-06 18:13:59 UTC
Heather is awesome enough to do this for us - she's splicing them up, I'll replace them in the app.

Let me know if this works!

We won't bother finishing despriting the current PhoneGap app's assets since it's being discontinued in favor of native apps.
