With the new scheme of protocol relative urls, and the greater ability to operate with secure (https) logins, the current email notifications for user page or watchlist, where enabled, are set to send http:// type urls.

It would be useful for there to be an email option in user's preferences for a user checkbox to set to have notifications to be sent with an https:// url (on/off)

The plan as I understand it is that in the future as the https setup stabilizes WMF will start defaulting https on for a number of things like login. Likewise these notifications will probably start using https.

A preference for this in the meantime would be worthless and we don't need more preferences for preferences sake.
