Start the app. Hit menu. You'll only see 'Add Bookmark' & 'Bookmarks'. Hit menu again or rotate the phone and you'll see everything else.

This is a bug with the menu plugin - it seems render each menu item in sequential order instead of rendering the whole menu at once.

this only seems to occur if the user presses the menu button immediately on app load.

Unable to reproduce on the latest version.  We replaced the plugin with the plugin that I wrote which should address this in almost all cases.  Going to mark it "Works for Me" for now.
