Could we look to a create a universal interwiki, suggest "blog" for shortcut to http://blog.wikimedia.org/

I edited the talk page and it has been implemented a couple of days ago.  What is the time frame to get the interwiki database updated?  Says that it was last run on 22 August.  Seems like quite a while between renditions.
