A database query syntax error has occurred. This may indicate a bug in the software. The last attempted database query was:
(SQL query hidden)
from within function "User::updateNewtalk". Database returned error "1205: Lock wait timeout exceeded; try restarting transaction (10.0.6.46)".

This bug (or collection of bugs) seems to be rendering user talk pages unoperable on enwiki: database errors occur when you try to edit a talk page, the new messages bar is not triggered (my experience) or does not go away (Orderinchaos's report), and someone could not access their user talk page. Upgrading importance to reflect this.
