On English Wikipedia, if I go to [[Special:Watchlist]] and then click on the "hist" link of any of the pages in my watchlist, the updatedmarker[1] is not shown for any of the recent lines, even if I didn't open the page ealier.

On other wikis (such as Meta-wiki or Portuguese Wikipedia), I wasn't able to reproduce this problem and I usually get the text "updated since my last visit" at the end of the lines corresponding to the edits made since I last visited the page.

confirmed that I saw this updatedmarker on meta, mw and ptwiki.  Didn't see it on dewiki or enwiki.  I suspect a config issue.

yep, wgEnotifWatchlist isn't true for enwiki: http://noc.wikimedia.org/conf/highlight.php?file=InitialiseSettings.php

Hmmm... indeed.
I just found the same information on [[Help:Email notification]]. Is it viable to enable this for English Wikipedia? I didn't find a bug about it.

We've talked about this quite a bit this spring and I, for one, would
like to see it done.  Ops isn't sure that our email server could
handle it, though.
