Description Huji 2011-05-20 15:48:21 UTC
The #language parser tag uses the name 'language' for its internationalization purposes, which conflicts with the MediaWiki LANGUAGE magicword.
Comment 1 Mark A. Hershberger 2011-05-20 21:29:35 UTC
Conflicts in what way?
Comment 2 Huji 2011-05-20 23:57:32 UTC
You can't modify one of them on Translatewiki without affecting the other.
Comment 3 Huji 2011-06-02 22:06:43 UTC
On second thought, this is actually a bug of Translate extension.
Comment 4 Huji 2011-06-02 22:08:29 UTC
I'm also increasing the level of importance of the bug, because this has broken the Magic Word translation interface totally. One can't modify Persian translations to magic words, for example on http://translatewiki.net because Translate gets confused by the conflicting messages and gives the following error message:

Your edit was not saved!

Please fix following error in translations:

Translation #زبان is used more than once for language and language.
Comment 5 Niklas Laxström 2011-06-03 08:30:53 UTC
It was planned to be converted to use the normal translation interface. Patches are welcome.
