When editing a section of an article that has footnotes in it the preview screen does not show those footnotes - only when editing the whole page do the footnotes show. This request is to have the section-edit preview screen render that section's footnotes as they will display at the bottom of the page when the edit is saved. It is annoying to be adding footnotes to an article and not be able to preview how they will look/whether they've been formatted correctly. Workarounds for this exist already of course but it would be nice to have this as standard: - adding {{reflist}} or <references /> to the bottom of the section being edited for the purposes of the preview, then removing it before saving - adding scripts to the user's js file such as this importScript("User:DatRoot/Scripts/PreviewRefs.jsâ"); This bug report is based on the discussion at the English Wikipedia Village Pump: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Village_pump_%28proposals%29%2FArchive_6#Footnotes_in_preview
