splitted requests from bug 2805 "<inputbox> should allow to set predefined titles" bug 2805 comment 0 > c) to have *another button label* then the one specified in MediaWiki:Createarticle Hallo! Having the option to choose the name of the inputbox button would also add greather flexibility in design. I can also imagine to use inputbox in another context namely to have an "one key preview" for large templates creating hundreds of more or less useless links. Many of the pages listed at http://ro.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Allpages&namespace=4&from=Proiectul could be replaced with "preview" buttons (or equivalent links). They relate to the listing and disamibiguation of 13.000 places in Romania. In this context http://ro.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Proiectul_localit%C4%83%C5%A3ile_din_Rom%C3%A2nia/List%C4%83_de_localit%C4%83%C5%A3i_-_litera_C_-_Ce_%28ghid%29&action=edit coild be replaced with a "preview inputpox" of a more general template where paramters as "litera C - Ce|(ghid)" would either be inserted manualy in the "box" or the / an alternate syntax similar to http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?action=edit&preload=Template%3ATest&editintro=Template%3ATest+intro&create=Create+article&title=User_talk%3ATestingggg would be used. Thanks and best regards Reinhardt user:gangleri
P.S. If the new "option parameter" would *not* be specified MediaWiki:Createarticle should be used as default. This assures backward compatibility of existing templates.
Added buttonlabel= and searchbuttonlabel= options. Again, please create separate bugs for separate feature requests. You split the bug but added a new feature request at the same time. ;-(
