Description pamjones1965 2011-02-28 01:51:32 UTC
This is a small irritation, but it is annoying when using Wikipedia that
you have to manually place the cursor in the Search box when you open web page. It seems it would be a simple matter to have it automatically there when you open the website. A good example is www.merriam-webster.com. When you go to that website to look up a word, the cursor is automatically in the Search box, and you're ready to go.

I've believe this has been discussed before and not something that is wanted because it harms usability in our case, where as in your example, a disctionary website is something where you expect/wanting to be searching straight away.
