Description Aaron 2010-12-05 13:01:51 UTC
This is not a bug for the iPhone, but there is no "Palm Pre" selection in the component field.

When browsing the mobile Wikipedia site, the Palm Pre webkit browser is not displaying the mobile site correctly. Previous to a few days, the text was correctly formatted to wrap around the screen and be easily readable. When accessing mobile wikipedia since approximately 02 DEC 2010, the site displayed has been widely formatted text that is too small to read. When zooming, there is major amounts of horizontal scrolling required to read any article. The web browser is being directed to the correct site because the option to "view this page on regular wikipedia" is still at the bottom of the page displayed.

Around the 2nd of December, all Palm Pre devices changed their User Agent string to no longer have the term "Palm" or "Pre" anywhere in it. It is now

"Mozilla/5.0 (webOS/1.3; U; en-US) AppleWebKit/532.2 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/1.0 Safari/532.2 Desktop/1.0"

So... it claims to be desktop. And, our site responded with the desktop version of the mobile site. Whoops!

Deploying the fix now!
