Description Tisza Gergő 2010-10-26 19:06:43 UTC
The body of a MediaWiki page has information, in the form of classes about the page currently open, its namespace etc. It has, however, no information about the action being done - whether it is an edit page, a page history, an old version of an article etc. Please add that information so it is possible to style pages depending on what action is being taken. (A possible use case: hide the left sidebar on edit screens so there is more space for the textarea.)

The information is available per javascript variable "wgAction".

For CSS it is not available. See bug 4438
