I am using Konqueror 3.5.10 a my main web browser on Kubuntu 8.04.4 (Hardy). As of recently, whenever I try to follow a link to Wikipedia (examples: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ordinal or en.wikipedia.org/wiki/core_duo) I get a screen that is blank except for the following message: "Scripts should use an informative User-Agent string with contact information, or they may be IP-blocked without notice." Talk about user-hostile. I don't expect the world to support conqueror, but at least don't deliberately block it. And maybe rephrase the error message to be more informative and less confrontational? PS: It gets weirder. I just followed a link to en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_agent and that worked. What the? This bug is specific to only certain search terms?!
The error message contains all the relavent information. It has nothing to do with not supporting Konqueror, it has to do with either your version of Konqueror not sending a User-Agent or somebody upstream of you filtering it out, fix this and you'll be fine
