Description lɛʁi לערי ריינהארט 2005-05-03 02:49:25 UTC
Hi!

I use Mozilla Firefox and the Monobook skin. Also the "Live Preview" java script
in monobook.js.

FAILS: At
http://yi.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Romihaitza&action=edit i can
neigther abiluty to use the Java button "Save page" nor the Java button "Show
preview".

WORKS: At http://yi.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Template:Purge&action=edit I
can use both.

First URL also fails in Firefox 1.03 (Windows 2000 SP4+) without "Live Preview".
First URL works with IE6-SP1+, as it does not overlap elements with the buttons.

One workaround is to use the keyboard to tab to the button.

It happens only in pages which doesn't include templates (so when there is no
"Templates used on this page:" in the edit page).
This bug doesn't happen in Wikis that have translated system messages.

This bug related originaly to the use of the mouse for
- clicking on the "Save page"
- clicking on the "Show preview"
- selecting / deselecting the "minor edit" checkbox
- selecting / deselecting the "watch this page" checkbox

Please adjust the *summary* to cover all these cases.

The behaviour has improuved but still is not as it should be.

You need to log in to [[:yi:]] and see then
http://yi.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=user:Gangleri/tests/bugzilla&action=edit

Using Windows XP Service pack 2
and
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050915
Firefox/1.0.7
I can *not*

a) klick on the "This is a minor edit"; what happens is these cklicks relate to
"Watch this page"
b) tray to "mark" text from "This is a minor edit"; however I can "mark" the
text "Watch this page" and copy it.

I understand that after translation of the relevant MediaWiki messages this
problem may disapear. However I would be happy about any idea to get it fixed in
MediaWiki software and / or [[yi:MediaWiki:Monobook.js]] /
[[yi:MediaWiki:Monobook.css]]. Thanks in advance for your suggestions. regards

regarding preview and save button
i also faced this problem when i had started translating ur.wikipedia.org.

then as i went on translating this bug automatically disappeared.
i had to click outside the button in order to make them functional but now they
are working fine with both IE and FF

these pages are working fine with my FF 1.5

changing dependencies:
this bug <s>should</s> may disapear if pages is fixed according to bug 4066
Comment 7 Niklas Laxström 2010-07-15 14:01:45 UTC
Doesn't look like a bug in MediaWiki, but in browsers instead. If the issue still persists, I suggest making a bug report to their tracker.
