Users report to me that they thought the "Username:" entry box on Special:NewPages was some kind of Log In box.

Therefore please add some words like on Special:RecentChanges where it says 'Show new changes...',
or Special:AllPages where it says 'Display pages starting at', so the user can know this is a searcher type function, and not some Log In box.

Im not sure this is actually a bug with MediaWiki. If this page is supposed to provide search capabilities, then it could include a message stating Namespace and Username are search criteria.
