Description msh210 2009-07-01 00:03:10 UTC
When linking to [[]] (U+FB2E alef with patah), the link appears as a redlink. However, following the link, one accesses in fact the page [[אַ]] (U+05D0 alef + U+05B7 patah), which is fine, but then the redlink should appear blue. Example: http://en.wiktionary.org/?oldid=6911831

I could swear there's already a bug entry on this...
Comment 2 Conrad Irwin 2010-03-28 02:35:54 UTC
There is - but it uses none of the same words to describe the issue.

What happened here? This was marked a duplicate of a RESOLVED FIXED bug, but the oldid link I posted in the first place still has the problem I identified. (The other bug is Greek to me.) Does this bug need reopening?
Comment 4 Conrad Irwin 2010-06-01 17:08:36 UTC
The bug was fixed in MediaWiki, but Wikimedia is still using a version without the fix.
Comment 5 msh210 2010-06-01 17:14:36 UTC
Ah, thanks for the clarification. I assume the MW version this was fixed in one that WM projects will be using at some point, then?
