Search results from the sister projects now have captions like "en.wiktionary.org results", which is not very helpful for non-English projects: few people know about the smaller projects, and the user might not be able to figure out from the English domain name, what that project is about. If possible, the localized project names should be used instead.
Robert, is a friendlier site name something we can easily get at here?
Yes, in fact, this is why a message 'search-interwiki-custom' exists, although no-one seems to figured it out. Its format is: <iwprefix>:<caption> per line, so for english wikipedia it should be put to something like: wikt:Wiktionary word definitions s:Wikisource results n:Wikinews results q:Wikiquote results v:Wikiversity results b:Wikibooks results and these will appear instead of the default sitenames.
Shouldn't those be added to WikimediaMessages extension... to have some defaults and raise awareness?
Yeah, that seems like a good idea.
