Description Gunnar Birch 2009-03-09 20:05:39 UTC
Whenever I try to edit a page on Wikipedia, I get this error:
A database query syntax error has occurred. This may indicate a bug in the software. The last attempted database query was:

    (SQL query hidden)

from within function "ExternalStoreDB::store". MySQL returned error "1114: The table 'blobs' is full (10.0.2.160)".

This should be fixed ASAP.

Apparently, this goes for ALL editors - "recent changes" only shows block, deletes, and usercreations.

The problem is known and being worked on. Please be patient.

This might be causing the problems being observed related to page moves during this rough time period. Pages moved without suppressredirect are sometimes being left with a page, a history, a redirect flag, but no page text.

<hegesippe> possible bug : I have moved http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mumonkai_karat%C3%A9 to http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mumonkai_karat%C3%A9/copyvio with the choice "leave a redirect in the former page", but the former page has vanished
<hegesippe> My English is too bad to write good explanations (and I also "hate" bugzilla :D)

<ialex> looks like the text wasn't inserted
<ialex> page is marked as redirect, which is ok
<Splarka> hey brion, while the DB was borked (or whatever the more technical term was), would page edits have failed but page moves have worked (except for creating the text of the redirect left behind), causing the above fun?
 <brion> Splarka: possible
<brion> Splarka: go ahead and add a note, it'll probably just go into general 'database cleanup to do someday' if they're not actively breaking updates to the pages
