Description Mark Pellegrini 2009-03-08 09:52:36 UTC
There should be a feature to "revert all" edits ever made by a user. That is, with a single mouse click, it should be possible to rollback all edits made by a user that can be rolled back, undo all edits that can be undone, and create a list of all edits that could not be undone or rolled back. This is particularly important when dealing with sockpuppets whose vandalism is not non-obvious, which may survive for many revisions by subsequent authors. (Specifically, I'm submitting this request to deal with Scibaby's sockpuppets on the english wikipedia)

This isn't a request really appropriate for here, All sock puppet actions (on en.wiki) should user edits should just be reverted and not deleted.

Who said anything about deleting edits? I'm looking for a faster way to rollback and undo edits - both of which can be done now by anyone (admin or not). It's simply more tedious to do it manually when it could be automated.

Re-opening this request - it should not have been closed in the first place.

Currently, there are user scripts that add the ability to mass revert edits, as well as page moves, to help cleanup after vandals.

Though, it may be more efficient to implement this capability on the back-end and make it available as part of MediaWiki.
