Extension:Collection: Please provide statistics on each wiki about how many books/PDFs have been created/ordered etc. on that wiki. ---- per http://code.pediapress.com/wiki/ticket/409#comment:2
Not sure whether this should stay in product "Wikimedia" or not, changing for now (although seems to be a server admin thing).
Jojo said "Logfiles are already written when PDFs/ODFs are rendered. But if we can provide some hooks to facilitate these statistics we'll happily build them into mwlib or the extension." -- so it looks to me like coding needs to be done in Collections. I doubt the shell keyword is appropriate unless that's been done but not reported in their bug tracker.
-shell, nothing for it atm. (In reply to comment #2) > Jojo said "Logfiles are already written when PDFs/ODFs are rendered. We do have a hook for extensions to add onto the Stats page, would just need a way to convert the logs to be used that way.
Nimish is actively working on this.
Any news since August? This bug is marked as HIGHEST priority; if it's done we should clear it out; if it's not done but not actually of the utmost important it should be reprioritized to clear the list.
Maybe I can speak for Nimish during his 6 week absence. We already have offline stats of books sold, total and per country. http://stats.wikimedia.org/reportcard/booktool/BookTool.html (slightly out of date) Online stats per wiki would be nice, but given the modest production figures so far a lower priority than say data center meltdown class of bugs seems reasonable.
Per Erik's comment, lowering priority, but reassigning from Nimish to Diederik for followup.

If it's not scripted/it would take a while, please make sure the required logs are not wiped together with the pdf servers in Tampa.
