Details

Description Mike.lifeguard 2008-11-23 02:27:33 UTC
Currently, Special:UnwatchedPages lists unwatched pages in the mainspace, but many wikis have content in multiple namespaces. Instead, it should list unwatched pages in content namespaces, using $wgContentNamespaces
Comment 1 Alexandre Emsenhuber [IAlex] 2008-11-24 16:44:41 UTC
Per http://svn.wikimedia.org/viewvc/mediawiki/trunk/phase3/includes/specials/SpecialUnwatchedpages.php?view=markup it lists unwatched pages in all namespaces except "MediaWiki", not only the main namespace.

Changing summary then - I see no reason to include non-content namespaces.

Done in r45346
Comment 5 Brion Vibber 2009-01-07 00:19:35 UTC
I believe the reason for this special page is to help watch for vandalism on pages that no user is watching. Vandalism isn't just something that happens in content namespaces...

Reverted in r45472

See comment 5 for the reasons that were given five years ago.
Comment 9 Scott Martin (http://enwp.org/user:scott) 2014-08-04 10:41:03 UTC
Comment 5 reopened this bug, not closed it.
Comment 10 Andre Klapper 2014-08-04 11:24:06 UTC
Comment 5 gives a reason why it's not useful to fix this.
