At Bavarian Wikipedia we started to create some portals. I, one of the sysops of barWP, would like to request the creation of a namespace for portals. Please just call the new namespace 'Portal'. That's the correct word for it in German, as well, and in Bavarian we call the namespaces the same way as they do on deWP. Thank you and best regards!
Sorry, but this simple and easy, correctly filed request is 6 months old! Do shell admins need help, actually (man power)? Some people on barwiki just don't want to wait any longer to have a 'Portal:' prefix, see [[bar:Spezial:Präfixindex/Portal]]; leading to problems now, see [[als:Benutzer_Diskussion:Melancholie#Namesruum]]. [[bar:User:Matthias_Klostermayr]] (SysOp) is eager to get it and I am supporting this namespace too. The namespace has been added and namespacedupes run against the project to fix any pages into the correct namespace. If there are any questions, let us know!
There seems to be a bug in Namespacedupes: [[bar:Portal:Österreich]] is suddenly missing! It seems that page titles starting with umlauts seem to make the whole page disappear, even cannot find any *broken* entry at [[bar:Special:AllPages]]. So, please recover [[bar:Portal:Österreich]] ;-) The page http://bar.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portal:%C3%96sterreich existed, see http://209.85.229.132/search?q=cache:i2SnwK8R4TkJ:bar.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portal:%C3%96sterreich+http://bar.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portal:%C3%96sterreich&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=en Two pages still show up at [[bar:Spezial:Alle_Seiten/Portal]].
Not only [[bar:Portal:Österreich]], also all talk pages have not been moved and thus disappeared. See [[bar:Special:AllPages/Diskussion:Portal]] (stuck) L [[bar:Diskussion:Portal:Bairische_Sprache]] L [[bar:Diskussion:Portal:Bayern]] L etc.
I went ahead with Brion and ran another cleanup script that as far as I can tell, fixed the issues. Please review your pages and I think we are good to go.
Talk pages are still missing, see [[bar:Special:AllPages/Portal_Diskussion:]] ("Portal_talk:"); although those "Talk:Portal:Page" relicts from comment #5 have disappeared. Beside missing "Portal_Diskussion:Foobar" pages, a user is reporting that he has "[[bar:Portal:Bayern]]" under "Articles" and "Portals" on his watchlist, both as redlinks! And he cannot remove both, so cleanupWatchlist.php seems to be necessary, compare bug 4147.
@Melancholie: That´s not completely right. I can remove the page "[[bar:Portal:Bayern]]" from the "portals" section and then the page is unwachted (even if I put the heel in the corresponding box under "articles"). But the entry still remains in the articles section... Apart from that both links are redlinks.
I have cleaned up the watchlists, as well as ran some other scripts for cleaning up and resolving the above. Please check and see if it is fixed, if not, let me know what is still broken. Thanks!

I am really not sure how to fix this issue. I am re-assigning this ticket to Brion. He is currently on vacation, but when he gets back I will review it with him so I can fix this sort of thing in the future.

The "easy" keyword isn't used with shell requests.

Looks like 4 of the missing pages got found by one of the cleanup runs, but couldn't be auto-resolved to the right name so ended up with the 'Broken/' prefix: http://bar.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spezial:Pr%C3%A4fixindex/Diskussion:Broken Rob, for future reference I went looking for them by peeking in the page database for the titles mentioned in the above links to see if they'd gotten moved around: mysql> select page_namespace,page_title from page where page_title like '%Bairische_Sprache'; mysql> select page_namespace,page_title from page where page_title like '%Bayern'; This turned up the entries: | 1 | Broken/Portal\x3aBairische_Sprache | | 1 | Broken/Portal\x3aBairische_Sprache | and I could confirm there were some others present peeking in Special:Prefixindex. They can be renamed to their proper locations as needed. If any others remain missing they should be findable similarly.
