The API no longer returns prefix indexes where the prefix given ends in a forward slash.  It used to until just recently.  I believe the revision at fault here is r1=37775&r2=40088">http://svn.wikimedia.org/viewvc/mediawiki/trunk/phase3/includes/api/ApiQueryAllpages.php?r1=37775&r2=40088 .
