Following discussion here (<http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?oldid=232543226#Grawp_attack_on_CHU>), it would nice if it were possible to prevent account creation of a renamed account _while_ the account is being renamed.

A checkbox would be sufficient, I think.

I think the old account name no longer exists, so you'd have to create it, making this a dupe of bug 15181.

You're correct. I had mis-read a piece of the discussion and thought they were only talking about blocking during renames. Resolved as duplicate.
