I entered a valid email addresse, to that I can send emails. This is my wiki
email addresse. When I try to send an email to myself from wiki using 
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/wiki.phtml?title=Special:Emailuser&target=....
(myself), wiki interface states, the mail is sent, but it never arrives my email
input box. What is wrong?

Works for me, as does the URL
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Emailuser/.... (myself).
Is there anything unusual about your username or email address on en.wikipedia.org?

My wikipedia user name has 12 characters, all alphabetic. My email address is a
simple hotmail email addresse containing my wikipedia user name plus 1 number.

My wikipedia user id. has 12 alphabetic characters, the email address is a
hotmail address containing my uid+1 = 13 characters.

Please check again the issue. Everything looks ok for me.
