Under MSIE 8, some sets of check boxes with labels show signs of overprinting -- the items get progressively darker due to multiple text rendering applications with font smoothing enabled.

Seen on the namespace checkboxes on the search form and at Special:Preferences.

Sounds like an upstream issue which needs to be filed with Microsoft.

This seems resolved as of IE 8rc1 on XP.
