Description Mormegil 2005-01-12 11:44:41 UTC
There should be some way (e.g. a special page accessible from the user page,
or a marking on the user page itself) to display the rights of a specified user.

Now, AFAIK the only way is to look through Special:Listadmins for the user and
look whether he is sysop or not. (Or, theoretically, look through Special:Listusers...)

Alternatively, the user/admin list could be made searchable, but that is IMHO a worse idea.

adding to "user group management" tracker
Comment 2 Antoine "hashar" Musso (WMF) 2005-01-17 12:10:06 UTC
Implemented in CVS HEAD. Will be available with 1.5.

Special:Listuser is now searchable by username (eg 'Hashar')
or groupname (eg 'Bureaucrat').

Sorry! I insert this in the wrong browser. (Dosens where open.)
